Submission Guidelines
We consider fiction and nonfiction for the adult and children’s trade markets.
Authors interested in securing representation for their work should send a brief query letter via email or snail-mail that describes their project.
A fiction query, should include a brief description, the word count and should always give author contact information and relevant biographical information. It should include the first three to five pages of the novel and a synopsis of the story in the body of the email or attached to your snail-mail letter.
For non-fiction, the query letter should also include your qualifications for writing it, emphasizing any “platform” or audience you have developed, and any writing and publishing experience. Focus on the questions: Why this book? Why now? And Why are you the best person to write this book?
NEVER SEND AN ORIGINAL DOCUMENT. DO NOT SEND A COMPLETED MANUSCRIPT WITHOUT BEING INVITED TO DO SO. It will remain unread.
We respond to all queries received that follow our guidelines.
We neither consider nor represent poetry.
