Pouya Shahbazian

Pouya Shahbazian is a literary manager and film/TV producer. His entertainment experience includes the representation of screenwriters, authors and playwrights as well as the development and production of film, TV and literary projects. After working as an attorney in Los Angeles, Shahbazian entered the entertainment industry at Warner Brothers and later joined The Broder-Webb-Chervin-Silbermann Agency, specializing in motion picture literary representation. He co-founded ManDown Pictures & Management in February 2007, where he developed and produced film and television projects, including MAG CREWS, a feature film based on a New York Times article, which is set up at Focus Features with acclaimed director Andrea Arnold (Fish Tank, Wuthering Heights) attached.

Shahbazian is the co-creator and executive producer of the Independent Film Channel (IFC)’s travel series YOUNG, BROKE & BEAUTIFUL, which concluded its first season on the air during the summer of 2011.

In addition to consulting on book-to-film and TV deals at FinePrint Literary Management, Shahbazian heads FinePrint Productions where he produces and packages film and television projects.  Current projects include: Veronica Roth’s New York Times bestseller DIVERGENT, which is set up at Summit Entertainment and Lisa Desrochers’ trilogy PERSONAL DEMONS.
