Gotham-based Fineprint Literary Management has announced the creation of Fineprint Productions, a new feature film and television production sister company that will focus primarily on book-to-film and graphic novel-to-film properties. The first three properties slated for development are: NO ORDINARY HEROES by Demaree Inglese & Diana Gallagher, the non-fiction account of a New Orleans prison doctor and military veteran (Inglese) who was trapped with rioting prisoners during Hurricane Katrina and his bid for survival and escape; the graphic novel series ONLY IN DREAMS by Troy Benjamin, a comedic supernatural thriller in the vein of GHOSTBUSTERS about a group of college-age nightmare eliminators; and the Edgar-nominated spy novel THE PROMETHEUS OPERATION by Mark Elder, which will be updated in the spirit of the BOURNE franchise. Fineprint Productions was founded by book-to-film vet Brendan Deneen on behalf of FPLM bosses Peter Rubie and Stephany Evans, and is currently run by co founder of  ManDown Pictures & Management, Pouya Shahbazian. At ManDown Pictures, he developed and produced film and television projects, including MAG CREWS, a feature film based on a New York Times article, which is set up at Focus Features with acclaimed director Andrea Arnold (Fish Tank) attached.
